We are seeking an ICT Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Biggleswade from September 2024. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to shape the minds of students across a wide age and ability range, ensuring the highest standards of achievement and personal development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National and School Curricula, adhering to the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Assign appropriate homework, assess, record, track, and report on student progress using available data.
  • Create and maintain a stimulating learning environment, ensuring health, safety, and security.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and teaching strategies within the subject and year teams.
  • Participate in team reviews, monitoring, and evaluation to enhance working practices.
  • Act as a member of a pastoral team and potentially as a form tutor, fulfilling associated responsibilities.
  • Collaborate on projects and professional development activities to support the effective operation of subject and year teams.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities to support the development of students’ cultural capital.
  • Undertake additional duties as specified by the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and as requested by leaders/managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold relevant Teaching qualifications - PGCE, QTS.
  • Experience in teaching within a school, gained through Teacher training.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Possess an Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (note: sponsorship is not available for this role).
  • Demonstrated commitment, flexibility, and enthusiasm for teaching.
