Responsibilities

  • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
  • Preparation of ingredients.
  • Learn recipes and methodologies and be able to implement to a high standard.
  • Learn, apply and master the skills of the relevant station(s).
  • Ensure food quality and taste is of the highest standard.
  • Work at pace efficiently and effectively with the rest of the team.
  • Cleaning of equipment, storage, and work areas.
  • Multitask and maintain calm when working under pressure.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year experience in similar roles & references in a busy restaurant.
  • Excellent working knowledge of classic and modern cooking techniques.
  • A passion for food is a must an interest in sustainability desirable.
  • Availability including evenings and weekends.
  • Effective communication, teamwork & organizational skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn and ability to work well under pressure.
