Manpower is partnering EXCLUSIVELY with our client who are a large UK wide producer of food ingredients.
We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer who will join the team carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks on a range of production equipment.
Working Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm, on offer is a fantastic salary starting at 43,000 with real potential for this to increase within 6 months.
On call rota split across the team which typically rotates 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 weeks
We are ideally looking for electrical bias or multi-skilled experience, with maintenance experience in a food setting desirable but not essential.
The Role
- Ensure maximum utilisation of the plant through planned and reactive maintenance
- Work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Fault finding and problem solving on machinery issues, rectifying quickly and efficiently
- Follow and record PPM's accurately
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the plant, processes and working collaboratively to implement ideas
- Work with and monitor contractors on site
What we are looking for
- Level 3 qualified Engineering OR Electrical discipline
- Proven maintenance experience in a production/ manufacturing setting
- Experience working with automated equipment, PLC controls, electrical systems, 3 phase motors
- Preferably FMCG/ Food experience
- Can work on own initiative or as part of team in a fast paced setting
