Slinger Signaller

Our Industrial Services team are currently recruiting for Slinger Signallers for work in Belfast

• Starting: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Shift pattern: 36 hours per week – Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: 07:30 – 19:30

Duties include but not limited to:

• Communicating with drivers and plant operators verbally and by radio and/or industry standard hand signals
• Providing clear, correct, and safe directions to plant operators
• Check all relevant accessories for damage before work begins
• Select appropriate lifting equipment and attach and detach it correctly and safely
• Use clear signals or radio communication to direct the actions of a crane
• Movement of loads of various weights and dimensions
• Determine the serviceability of lifting accessories and maintain and store them correctly
• Work within the confines of a lifting plan created by an appointed person
• Understanding risks (e.g., blind spots) and how to manage these effectively
• Establish weights and dimensions of loads
• Always ensure compliance with company safety procedures

Essential:

• CPCS blue card or equivalent

Desirable:

• Counterbalance forklift license above 7 ton
• Telescopic forklift license
• IPAF training
