Senior Engineer – Nottingham

I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to support my client’s team. The role will involve managing highway works across multiple working areas as part of the A52 Nottingham Junction project. This is a crucial position that requires a dedicated professional capable of overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of the project.

Days: Friday 14/06/24 and Monday 01/07/24: 08:00 – 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break

Nights: Monday 16/06/24 to Friday 28/06/24 (inclusive): 18:30 – 06:30 with a 30-minute break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage highway works, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Coordinate with the project team to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Monitor and manage multiple working areas, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients and contractors, to maintain clear communication and address any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports related to project progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Engineer, preferably in highway or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to highway construction.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and areas.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work nights and adapt to a demanding schedule.
