Schedule: Dayshift, starting at 06:30 AM, averaging 10-11 hours per day with occasional overnights.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting materials utilizing walking floor and/or ejector trailers, predominantly focusing on recycling operations. This role will involve transporting contaminated timber and building site waste, adhering to safety and environmental regulations at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles equipped with walking floor and/or ejector trailers.
• Transport recyclable materials, including contaminated timber and building site waste, to designated locations.
• Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and regulations during loading, transport, and unloading processes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and workspace.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 HGV license with CPC qualification.
• Proven experience operating walking floor and/or ejector trailers preferred.
• Solid understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent driving record with no major violations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work occasional overnights as required.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as needed.
