Siamo Recruitment have an exciting permanent position for a experienced Warehouse Team Leader for our client based in Redditch B98. Our client are renowned for its exceptional standards and looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to be part of their dynamic, growing team.   

Main Purpose of the Role: Plan, organise, supervise, and participate in the operations and activities of the warehouse. Train and evaluate assigned staff as required. Ensure productivity targets are challenged to achieve the required rates. Supervise all aspects of the operation from Goods in to Despatching of orders. Ensure Health and safety is adhered to in the warehouse environment. 

Responsibilities and duties

  • Liaise with courier companies for collections and assist with them
  • Ensure orders are completed to deadline, in particular next day orders
  • Coordinate the use of computerised systems where necessary
  • Ensure daily despatch document is completed accurately 
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Plan future capacity requirements
  • Ensure all new / temporary labour are trained to the required level
  • Motivate, organise, and encourage excellent staff teamwork
  • Brief team daily for the tasks to be completed, particularly over sale periods where we have high levels of temp labour
  • Maintain standards of health and safety in the warehouse
  • Ensure visitors sign in / out of the site
  • Assist with warehouse, if necessary, e.g., picking, packing, stock counting / location checks, deliveries.
  • Maximising productivity to reduce operating costs
  • Conduct return to work interviews as required
  • Initial stages of disciplinary actions
  • Ensure all equipment, including computers and FLT are maintained effectively
  • Proactively manage missing stock / stock adjustments effectively making sure any issues are escalated accordingly
  • Active approach to presale periods i.e., Consolidation of pick bins, bulk replenishment.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy
  • any other duties required by your manager, including ad hoc project work
