An Alternative Provision Academy that serves vulnerable students within Hull and the East Riding are looking for a Teacher to work full time from September 2024 on a 1 year fixed term contract. Their main site is situated in East Hull and their students are taught in a range of specifically designed buildings. Location: Kingston-upon-Hull, East Yorkshire, HU9 5DE Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract Term: Full-Time Closing Date: Midnight, 25th May 2024 Start Date: September 2024 Suitable for ECTs The main focus of the Teachers role is fostering the learning and progress of the pupils in their care. This involves being an effective teacher of pupils as well as of the subject. Quality of preparation, resourcing, planning, subject expertise, teaching skill, pace, challenge, proactive classroom management, effective marking and assessment, high expectations, and positive personal relationships are all central to providing the conditions within which pupils' personal skills, abilities, understanding, learning and progress can be developed. Candidates should hold GCSE English and Maths at a grade C/4 equivalent or above at a minimum. Candidates should have good communication, written, numeracy and ICT skills. A drivers licence is desirable. Unqualified candidates will be considered.
