(a) Education and Formal Training
A degree and/or a relevant professional qualification
Other professional qualifications
(b) Relevant Technical Experience and Knowledge
Reasonable experience of leisure centre working or contract management
Practical experience of Knowledge of managing small projects or programmes and Project Management techniques and skills
Knowledge of Performance Management schemes, systems and procedures
Experience in a large public or voluntary sector organisation, probably local government is desirable
Experience of analysing data and insight , including financial data is desirable
Experience of using a range of word-processing and spreadsheet packages and networked PC's and of understanding basic web design
(c) Skills and Abilities
An ability to establish and build effective relationships with partner organisations, including the private sector
Good verbal communication skills
Good written communication skills and, in particular, an ability to write clear concise reports
Able to prepare and undertake presentations to a high standard
An ability to work effectively as part of a team
An ability to research, analyse, and interpret and present information and to draw clear conclusions
An ability to plan and prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
