Sous Chef

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Sous Chef that loves working with fresh, local ingredients from the surrounding estate and fish from the harbour.

The Red Lion Hotel boasts a stunning harbour location with views across the bay. The Hotel has a refined evening restaurant as well as a thriving Pub serving great fresh pub food and takeaways.

We are looking for a Sous Chef that is both innovative and committed, with a passion for creating excellent food, using the freshest local ingredients. They will assist the Head Chef in all aspects of the kitchen including staff training and progression, food safety and deputising in their absence.

Brief description of the role:

·Play an active part in inspiring new dishes

·Liaising with both kitchen and front of house staff to deliver delicious food and impeccable service.

·Supporting the overall performance of the kitchen, making sure every service runs smoothly

·Ensuring food safety standards are adhered to

·Assisting Head Chef in controlling stock holding and food margins

·Lead by example
