HGV Technician - Night Shift
Our client Titan Plant Hire is one of the Gill Group of Companies and supports their civil engineering company who are one of the leading airfield/ports/highway concrete paving companies in the United Kingdom and have been successful in a bid to conduct civil engineering works at Airports, Highways and Docks throughout the country. They have recently expanded their site that allows external customers to bring their vehicles to them for all manners of repairs.
They are looking for 3 HGV technicians who have the ability to repair and service of a fleet of Vehicles to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge with a dynamic and rapidly growing company.
Ideally you will be time served in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of HGVs.
The right candidate will have the following skills:
- Proven experience working as an HGV technician with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served.
- Be able to maintain, repair and service HGV vehicles.
- carry out routine inspections, diagnostic work and repairs of vehicles.
- Dealing with: MOT preparation, defects, punctures, tyre changes, tyre cutting, welding, drilling, cutting and much more.
- A think on your feet attitude with the ability to use own initiative.
- Being able to communicate effectively and liaising with site staff/managers.
- Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- A valid driving license with less than 6 points.

Salary Range: Competitive dependant on experience
Job Type: PAYE / Full-time
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 12-hour shifts per day
Location: Titan, WV14 7DP
