Management Accountant

SF Recruitment are currently working with a growing distribution business based in North Birmingham. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant. As a part of the finance team, you will play a vital role in Financial planning, systems improvements, business partnering as well as be given the opportunity to contribute to the success of a growing business.

As a Management Accountant, you will support the finance team in various accounting activities, including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and provide insightful analysis to aid in strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Conduct variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation of management reports for internal stakeholders
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Discuss management information with department heads
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide insights to management.
- Identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist in ad hoc projects and assignments as required by management.

Requirements:

- Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA - Finalist considered.
- Strong proficiency in using ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
