- Act as a trusted business partner to Heads Of and other colleagues, fostering strong relationships and ensuring transparency in financial matters.
- Drive high-quality financial and commercial performance by gaining a detailed understanding of the programme.
- Lead and participate in regular stakeholder meetings, providing comprehensive updates on project financials.
- Produce timely financial reports for Heads Of and stakeholders, offering insightful analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
- Challenge financial forecasts to ensure accuracy of spend profiles and alignment with project goals.
- Chair the monthly Finance Working Group, engaging external stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly claims and manage spending profiles to meet agreed targets.
- Continuously review, maintain, and improve monthly project cost forecasting by activity.
- Maintain accurate budget records through a formal change control process.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Procurement team to support budget journey through procurement.
- Provide support to the wider Finance team and drive continuous improvement of finance processes.
- Ensure full substantiation of all project accruals.
- Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests as needed.
- Proven experience in financial management and reporting, preferably within a project-based environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience in procurement processes and budget management is desirable.
- Experience working with Advanced Financials
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
