Assistant Accountant
Salary: £35k - £40k based on experience

What you'll do:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a hands-on role covering a wide range of finance tasks. Your responsibilities will span across treasury and banking management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Your ability to work independently, attention to detail, and eagerness to improve and streamline processes will be crucial in this role.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Administer accounts on partner portals including limits, deposits, issue resolution, reporting
- Prepare and issue deposits, final invoices, and credit notes
- Monitor and reconcile client statements, including credit balances
- Process incoming invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
- Generate aged debt reports weekly/monthly with supporting commentary
- Act as a key point of contact for various external stakeholders
- Support ongoing transformation projects
What you bring:
The ideal Assistant Accountant candidate brings a minimum of three years' experience in a similar finance assistant, finance officer or accountant role. You possess strong bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting skills. Your experience with SAP or similar finance systems will be highly valued. You demonstrate excellent Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and detailed formulas. Your high level of accuracy and attention to detail sets you apart. Additionally, your strong organisational and communication skills enable you to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
