This new opportunity within Quality Assurance comes from a privately owned company within the manufacturing sector. Experts in production materials and methods they work alongside companies in highly regulated industries to support successful product development and manufacture within a competitive timeframe.

Through continuous investment in Quality Assurance and by building strong customer and supplier relationships this dynamic SME has gone from strength to strength and today collaborates with a global customer base.

Joining them as Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring quality throughout the parts assembly process. Working from the Coleshill facility work will be predominately for the automotive sector and as such knowledge of the automotive sector and its quality requirements will be highly beneficial.

Further Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and operating within IATF16949 Quality System Requirements in addition to customer specific requirements
  • Conducting internal and external audits. This may include completing audits in line with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001 and other audit methods.
  • Maintaining and monitoring SPC/R&R and MSA systems
  • Supporting the project and assembly teams with core tools documentation such as control plans, process flow charts, FMEA and PPAP submissions
  • Visiting customers and suppliers to work on advanced quality planning processes through to problem solving of quality issues using 8D.

To carry out this role they are seeking an apprenticed trained / qualified engineer with experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment ideally for the automotive sector. Proven knowledge of and experience with processes including PPAP and APQP is key as is knowledge of SPC, FMEA, 8D problem solving and auditing.

Further desirable skills and experience includes an understanding of IATF16949 as well as working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
