Location - Birmingham

Our client, a multi-disciplinary and award-winning building consultancy, is seeking anAssociate Architect to join their growing Birmingham office. With over 50 years of experience across the built environment, the practice delivers high-quality projects across a broad rangeof public and private sector schemes.

Working as part of a collaborative, integrated consultancy, the Associate Architect will play an important role in leading projects, supporting team development, and contributing to the continued growth of the Birmingham studio. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect looking to step into an Associate-level role with increased responsibility and influence.

The successful candidate will be technically strong and client-facing, capable of managing projects from concept through to completion. You will provide design leadership, coordinate technical delivery, and mentor junior team members, while working closely with senior colleagues on project and practice development.

Projects include Education, Blue Light and Emergency Services, Residential, Commercial, Leisure, and Industrial developments, ranging from refurbishment works to large-scale new build schemes.

Associate Architect Job Overview
* Work closely with Directors and senior colleagues on project delivery
* Lead projects across RIBA Stages 2-6 with responsibility for design and coordination
* Develop high-quality, sustainable design solutions
* Produce and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
* Manage project programmes and coordinate consultants
* Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Attend site meetings and inspections to ensure quality and compliance
* Support and mentor junior architects and technicians
* Assist with business development and studio growth initiatives
* Use Revit and AutoCAD on a daily basis

Associate Architect Job Requirements
* Based in or within commutable distance of Birmingham
* ARB / RIBA Qualified Architect with solid post-qualification experience
* Proven experience delivering projects across multiple sectors
* Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning processes
* Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
* Confident communicator with client-facing experience
* Full and clean UK driving licence
