Our client is a privately owned industrial adhesive manufacturer based in the Midland area. Due to sustained growth through innovation, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Adhesive/Formulation Chemist to join their Technical Department.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within a small team to enhance and diversify their adhesive product range.
- Develop adhesive formulations from conception to final production.
- Provide technical expertise in solvent-based adhesives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (1st or 2:1) in Chemistry, Polymer, Materials Science, or related discipline from a UK university. Candidates with a PhD and relevant commercial or research experience in solvent-based adhesives will also be considered.
- Several years of laboratory experience, preferably in solvent-based adhesives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent initiative.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.
Skills: Formulation and product development of solvent-based adhesives.
