Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Senior Engineer for rail project in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham
Ideal candidate will have strong rail and civils background for work on station, track and bridge/structures packages.
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring Junior Engineers
- Producing RAMS/ITPs/TBs
- QA documentation
- Allocating engineering resource for site engineering activities
- Reviewing the construction methodologies
- H&S inspections, site audits, toolbox talks
- Overseeing engineering work of subcontractors
- Reporting to the Site Agent/Project Manager on all engineering aspects of the project
- Delivering look aheads and early warnings on possible issues that may slow the project
- Advising the Site Agent/Project Manager on hiring of staff
Experience/qualifications:
- Experience working on Civils projects ideally in a Rail environment.
- Proven technical and project management abilities
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
- Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
- Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
- 3 years’ experience in Rail/Construction
- PTS
- CITB SMTS or equivalent
- CSCS
