Water Hygiene Engineer - Birmingham

Our client specialises in providing comprehensive water hygiene and treatment solutions to a diverse range of clients across various sectors, particularly focusing on education and the NHS.

Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a motivated Water Hygiene Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of water quality standards for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting water hygiene assessments in accordance with current legislation and industry standards.
  • Implementing and monitoring water treatment programs, including disinfection works and Legionella control measures.
  • Sampling of Water Systems.
  • Undertaking cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including tanks, pipework, and cooling towers.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on water hygiene matters.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the water treatment industry.
  • Strong understanding of current legislation and guidelines relating to water hygiene and Legionella control (e.g., ACoP L8, HSG 274).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Full UK driving license.
