Lead on internal communications, working within the Marketing and Communications Team to deliver our strategy.

Work with senior leaders to inform, inspire and engage colleagues across the organisation, ensuring stakeholders receive the right messages through the right channels at the right time

Provide communications expertise on projects and assist colleagues in navigating organisational change.

Description

  • Produce creative content, considering new and innovative ideas, including the use of different communications channels, to ensure maximum engagement with employees across multiple locations, capturing feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Develop the employer brand to attract and retain the best talent, ensuring consistent messaging and a positive experience.
  • Be responsible for the leadership and development of a direct report who can support both internal communications and the wider Marketing and Communications Team
  • To lead on the delivery of the Marketing and Communications Strategy along with the management team, producing content that appeals to people at all levels and support employee engagement activities where necessary
  • To develop the employer brand, ensuring a positive employee experience through creative content, consistent messaging and a seamless journey from recruitment to induction.
  • To monitor and report back on the effectiveness of internal communications activity, making recommendations for future activity and the use of new channels / approaches where appropriate
  • To keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in internal communications, identifying best practice and making recommendations to others based on knowledge

Profile

  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently plan and manage own workload, and the workload of others, adhering to key policies, principles and procedures
  • Strong copywriting, proofreading and editing skills. Great attention to detail
  • Extensive communications experience with an in-depth knowledge of internal communications principles

Job Offer

10 month contract - with potential to extend

Remote working, 1 day per month required in the office (Birmingham)
