We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller, Turner Programmer/Setter to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Tyseley, Birmingham.

As a CNC Programmer you will be operating, setting, and programming milling and turning machines (Okuma, Colchester Lathes, XYZ Machines) along with bespoke machining software to enable correct machining of parts to design specifications.

The Role:

  • Set machine controls for rotation speeds, depth of cut and stroke.
  • Selects and fixes work holding devices.
  • Cutting, shaping, grinding and/or forming tools
  • Design CNC programs and set-up work functions on machines using in-house software.
  • Loading raw materials into the CNC Machine
  • Troubleshooting machines
  • Completing quality control tests
  • Cleaning and maintaining machines.
  • Training new staff on machine operation procedures



Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong numerical skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced milling, turning, grinding CNC setting/programming skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints / technical drawings.
  • Proficient with measuring equipment


Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm and Fridays 7am - 12pm (Mid-day)
