Were looking for a passionate and experienced Head BBQ Chef to take charge of our smoking and grill section at Joeys SmokeHouse Birminghams upcoming casual dining smokehouse serving Black Angus meats, burgers, steaks, and slow-smoked BBQ.
As Head BBQ Chef, youll be the pitmaster of our kitchen, responsible for:
- Overseeing daily preparation and service of all smoked and grilled items.
- Managing the smoking process for brisket, ribs, lamb, and chicken, ensuring consistent quality and flavour.
- Leading and motivating the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene.
- Collaborating with management to develop new menu items and specials.
- Ensuring smooth service during busy dine-in, takeaway, and park & eat operations.
- Upholding food safety, allergen, and HACCP standards at all times.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years experience in BBQ, grill, or smokehouse environments.
- Confident handling smokers, grills, and open-fire cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A passion for flavour, presentation, and consistency.
- Works well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
