Data Product Delivery Manager Hybrid Birmingham (3 days) - Salary Up to £62,000 DoE J12752

An exciting opportunity to make a difference for this social housing organisation who are building out a newly formed Data Analytics team. At the heart of their data strategy lies a simple goal: to gain deep insights into their properties, the tenants that live in them, and the overall performance of the company to ensure that their properties and neighbourhoods are places those tenants are proud to call home.

To actively manage the data teams' development backlogs, acting as the bridge between business users and developers to translate business requirements into prioritised user stories with agreed acceptance criteria. Documenting the as-is' data architecture and relevant metadata, including data definitions, business logic, sensitivity classifications, and retention periods alongside requirements, and collaborating with development teams to refine and estimate user stories.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the management of the data team's product and sprint backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and alignment with business objectives.
• Define clear requirements, user stories, minimum viable product (MVP) and acceptance criteria for the data teams' development backlogs.
• Assess regulatory requirements and technical prerequisites and prioritise these alongside business requirements.
• Lead sprint planning activities, collaborating with team members to estimate effort, review and refine estimations and maintain a well-structured data and analytics backlog.
• Work with business analysts to establish and estimate data requirements for projects, enabling delivery within scope and time constraints.
• Lead user acceptance testing and gather user feedback to refine and enhance data products iteratively, fostering continuous improvement.
• Support the development of a comprehensive business glossary encompassing data definitions, business logic, and other metadata to ensure clarity and consistency across data outputs.

Experience
• Degree level education or equivalent and experience in a product owner, business analyst or similar role, preferably in a data management or analytics environment.
• Track record of successfully managing requirement backlogs, prioritising feature development, facilitating sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other agile project management activities.
• Experience in defining acceptance criteria, conducting user testing, and gathering feedback for iterative product improvements.
• Knowledge of information security risks, data regulations and standards, including GDPR and awareness of information security risks and controls.
• Understanding of the data management lifecycle including business intelligence and data gov.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels and communicating complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
