Job Title: Electrical Area Engineer

Salary: £53,000 - £57,000

Location: Birmingham

Shift’s: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00

Orion are currently working with an innovative business in the metal works industry. They are currently seeking experienced data driven, Electrical Area Engineer to join our team in Birmingham.

Electrical Area Engineer Responsibilities:

As a Electrical Area Engineer, you will be required to: 

  • Work closely with production on continuous improvement
  • Implement changes to improve production and reduce downtime
  • Assist with factory shut down when needed
  • Make light modifications to electrical drawings to improve efficiency
  • Work with PLC’s
  • Work from Ladder logic
  • Fault finding
  • Data reliability

Experience/Knowledge:

We’re looking for Electrical Area Engineers with the below:

  • 5 years post apprenticeship experience.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance experience with heavy industrial, plant equipment and machinery.
  • PLC’s
  • 3phase circuits.
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering (NVQ/BTEC)
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to Mechanical Maintenance.
