Bar Tender - 40 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen to join the fabulous team at Sky Bar & Restaurant. This role is for a full time Bartender, working 40 hours per week. Our Bartenders greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, utilise proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.

Key competencies and duties include:

• A minimum of 1 year previous cocktail making experience is required.
• Welcoming customers, making recommendations and taking drink orders.
• Understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• Make drinks and cocktails at our prestigious 5th floor rooftop Bar.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing rubbish, cleaning tables, washing glasses, utensils and equipment.
• A positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and late finishes.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions.
