A nurturing and diverse primary school in the B10 area is looking to appoint a resilient and encouraging Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who may display challenging behaviour.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys helping children regulate their emotions, improve their behaviour and re-engage with learning in a positive, structured way. You'll be an important part of the pastoral and inclusion team, providing support that truly makes a difference.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering consistent 1:1 and small group support for pupils struggling with behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Using calm, proactive strategies to de-escalate and redirect behaviours
  • Supporting class teams to implement behaviour plans and individual support strategies
  • Helping pupils develop self-confidence, focus, and positive social interactions
  • Acting as a trusted adult and role model throughout the school day

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH (school or youth-based setting)
  • A calm, firm and empathetic approach
  • Strong behaviour management techniques and resilience
