Temporary to Permanent Position – This position will become permanent for the right candidate

This two form primary school is a Multi-faith, multi-cultural, Ofsted rated good school located in Handsworth, Birmingham.

Due to the retirement of our long standing, hardworking and highly skilled office manager we are looking to recruit a new office manager to start from June 2024 or September 2024. The new office manager will be welcomed into the role by a supportive, highly efficient team.

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily administration of the school office. You will also be responsible for all administrative and organisational processes within the school which include;·

  • Administration for pupil admissions
  • To manage the Academy MIS – SIMS
  • To produce census
  • To process purchase orders and invoices
  • Development of office systems, in conjunction with the School Business Manger
  • Enter staff absence
  • Recruitment
  • Co-ordinate any supply cover needed
  • Update website as required
  • Manage the office e mail account
  • SLT Administration support
  • Administration for school trips
  • General office support
  • In addition, there will be financial support, maintaining confidentiality at all times. You will assist with the planning and development of support services, in conjunction with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience of working in school office. Have experience of a wide range of administrative systems. Have experience of Microsoft systems. Experience of using database applications.
  • Work in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Have exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Have knowledge of school based MIS systems such as SIMS

. Be proactive in accessing update training, reading, policy etc

  • Be friendly, flexible, professional and hardworking
