- The ideal Health & Safety Advisor must be someone ideally with experience of working for a main contractor.

Requirements
- Strive for zero harm by empowering all Site Teams to own safety and drive continuous improvement.
- Advise line management and assist with implementing new or existing SHE-related legislation, rules, and Company standards, including health and safety training and site inspections for the company and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular preventive inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Investigate accidents and update all relevant documentation.
- Oversee Company preparations for monthly H&S and quality audits.
- Collaborate with support departments, such as Learning & Development, to initiate and coordinate training plans and update information in partnership with HR.
- Assist in maintaining current quality accreditations and work towards achieving new ones.
- Advise line management on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters in both the office and on-site, ensuring integration into daily operations.
- Lead the region in meeting obligations under the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
- Provide support and expertise to line management for incident investigation and reporting.
- Facilitate all forms of risk assessment (e.g., general, physical, COSHH, fire prevention) and act as the final authority when specialist input is needed for assessments conducted by others on site.
- Conduct occupational health and safety surveys (e.g., noise, lighting, exposure to chemical substances) and make recommendations.
- Monitor the site "permit-to-work" system for compliance with Company standards.
- Ensure compliance with Group Safety Policy and Health and Safety Regulations.
- Oversee regular site safety checks, toolbox talks, and inductions.
- Identify potential hazards.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the SHE Manager.
- Undertake any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Board of Directors.
