TeacherActive are working with a large, well respected secondary school in East Birmingham that are looking to take on multiple 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team this term to support a student in KS3 (going into KS4). This fantastic school has been a leading way for pupil development in the area for many years and is well revered in for staff training. Applicants must have experience dealing with pupils with moderate learning difficulties such as ADHD, Autism & Asbergers and have previously worked in education for at least 6 months. The right candidate must be confident in the classroom & be able to take and act on direction from the Class Teacher.

The school caters for students of various abilities and learning difficulties. The post requires a talented SEND TA who is flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children with educational needs to join their team of dedicated staff.

The role will include:

  • Supporting KS3 & KS4 students with classroom activities
  • Assisting the Teacher with classroom preparation
  • Working 1:1 and in group settings with students who require additional support
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
