We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant on a full time basis from June 2024 which will run on a long term basis into the next academic year.
This position is on behalf of a lovely Infant school located in the Quinton area of Birmingham (B32)
This role will initially begin on a temporary basis, however has the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
Working hours are 8:30-3:15 Monday-Friday.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis in Reception who has Complex Needs
- Support the student in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Support the class teacher in behaviour management
- Provide regular feedback to parents and carers
- Attend third party agency meetings to discuss pupils needs and development as required
- Follow the schools policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Have previous experience in 1:1 support with individuals with complex needs
- Hold experience of working with individuals with SEN
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young people
- Be committed and enthusiastic
- Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
