Reed Further Education is currently seeking knowledgeable Science Lecturers to join a college in Birmingham, starting from September 2024. This temporary ongoing role offering full-time hours. Ideal candidates will possess a teaching qualification and a strong background in science, with the ability to teach A Level Biology• Location: Birmingham• Job Type: Temporary, Full-time• Hourly Rate: £26.43 - £28.67• Start Date: September 2024 Day-to-day of the role:• Deliver engaging and educational lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Biology.• Assess and monitor student progress, providing supportive and constructive feedback.• Develop and adapt teaching materials to cater to diverse student needs.• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share innovative teaching practices.• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of teaching standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).• A degree or equivalent qualification in Biology.• Experience in teaching A-Level Biology.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• A commitment to creating an engaging and positive learning environment.
