Our client is looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to start on a railway project.Â
You are working alongside the operational team to ensure the safety delivery of all utility/service diversion works (Water, Gas, Electricity, and telecom) across the West Midlands area.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Â
- Review and approve risk assessments and method statements.
- Encourage and action the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with operatives and supervisors.
- Advise MWS construction managers, team leaders and site operatives in the field of statutory health and safety requirements.
- Monitor compliance with both the MWS management systems and our clients SMS.
- Report incidents in line with MWS and our clients reporting systems & minimum requirements.
Skills & Knowledge Requirements Include:Â
- Knowledge of street works and locating underground utilities/services.
- NRSWA training would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Knowledge of NERs, GIRs & WIRs would be desirable.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
- Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card
- EUSR SHEA Gas/Power/Water/ Water Hygiene would be desirable.
