Senior IT Technician - Onsite - Must Drive - 150 plus p/d
Hays are seeking an enthusiastic, driven and skilled Senior IT Technician to join an exciting clients Team as they enter the next phase of our IT Strategy and Development planWhat you will be doing
- Providing 1st - 2nd line technical support
- Manage and respond to calls and tickets logged on the IT Helpdesk, ensuring effective utilisation - assigning tickets to technicians as appropriate and seeing them through to resolution
- Develop comprehensive user guides and documentation for user understanding and self-help solutions
- Manage and maintain an accurate IT Asset database (Implement cloud-based solution)
- Appraisal process for members of IT Support Team
- Maintain IT equipment with regular testing of peripherals
- Managing users and groups within Active Directory (creating new accounts when required)
- Manage user account security (MFA / Conditional Access)
- Manage/Administer/Maintain Microsoft 365 Tenancy
- Manage work schedules and expectations of IT Support Team
- Liaise with 3rd party suppliers (sales and Support)
- Maintain/Update Trust and Academy Websites where required
- Work closely with 3rd party Managed Service Provider to ensure smooth running of the IT service within the Trust and each Academy.
- Provide cover for IT Technicians across the trust during periods of absence
- Administering content to Internal & External Digital Signage displays and servicing hardware
- Assist with CCTV access and content export for security requests
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software
Skills & Qualifications Required
- A clean uk driving licence and your own vehicle
- Relevant IT qualifications or demonstrable IT technical support experience
- Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
- Experience of working with Anti-Virus products
- Experience of working with Backup technologies
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and team working skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work to deadlines especially during periods of pressure
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A patient, methodical approach
- Good problem-solving methods
- Awareness of Health & Safety procedures
- Understanding of various operating systems and devices
