They are currently seeking a talented Jewellery CAD Designer to join our dynamic team.

 

 

Position Overview:

The Jewellery CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed CAD models for our jewellery collections using MatrixGold. The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience in jewellery design and CAD software.

The role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and proficiency in scanning and rendering techniques. A practical test will be part of the selection process to assess your skills and compatibility with our design standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Jewellery CAD Designer

  • Develop accurate and detailed 3D CAD models of jewellery designs using MatrixGold.
  • Collaborate with the sales -design team to transform concepts and sketches into precise CAD drawings.
  • Utilise scanning technology to create digital representations of physical models or design elements.
  • Prepare and present CAD renderings for review and approval by the design and production teams.
  • Ensure that all designs meet technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Modify and refine designs based on feedback and technical constraints.
  • Maintain an organised library of CAD files and ensure proper version control.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in jewellery design and CAD software.

 

Requirements:

Jewellery CAD Designer

  • Minimum of one year experience in jewellery design and CAD software, specifically MatrixGold.
  • Proven experience in creating detailed and accurate CAD models for jewellery.
  • Proficiency in scanning techniques and the use of scanning equipment.
  • Strong understanding of jewellery design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of precision in work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous CAD designs and relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to undergo a practical test as part of the selection process.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Formal education or certification in jewellery design or a related field.
  • Experience with other CAD software such as Rhino, ZBrush, or similar.
  • Knowledge of gemstone settings, metal types, and finishing techniques.
