Job Title: Industrial Engineer

Job Overview: As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, minimising risks, and driving productivity improvements within the organisation. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies, collaborating with various teams, and utilising cutting-edge technologies to achieve annual targets and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop productivity improvement plans to meet annual targets.
  • Design and execute simulation models and experiments to validate process concepts and changes.
  • Conduct bi-annual workplace review assessments through MTM studies and process observations.
  • Provide monthly reports on MTM study achievements versus plan, including VTS request schedules.
  • Actively participate in the network IE team to share processes, report progress, and understand future initiatives.
  • Harness production system synergies and leverage VPS/Innovation & Digitalisation to support efficiency improvements.
  • Focus on delivering efficiency improvements through MTM studies.
  • Support line test performance activities from ItO to OtD readiness for new product launches.
  • Ensure annual updates of relevant master data in SAP.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • HNC &/or Degree in Engineering (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in eMPlant simulation.
  • Familiarity with standard data systems such as UAS, MTM, etc.
  • Industrial engineering practices (method & work study).

Experience:

  • Proven experience in industrial engineering techniques.
  • Ability to design, construct, and maintain eMPlant simulation models.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong project management skills, including milestone adherence and delivery.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product performance, and plant/platform organisation.
  • Ability to manage customer and supplier relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in workshop facilitation and steering.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft, SAP, IPS-T, PSS, MMS, etc.
  • Familiarity with target management processes and reporting systems.
  • Understanding of line balancing techniques and production system principles.
