A leading UK building society is seeking a Commercial Contracts Solicitor for a 12-month fixed-term contract leading to a permanent role. Description

The Commercial Contracts Solicitor will be:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
  • Providing legal and strategic advice to the legal and wider business
  • Ensuring all contracts comply with local, regulatory, and national laws
  • Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant legislation
  • Collaborating with departments to align contracts with business strategy
  • Delivering training on contractual and legal matters
  • Mentoring and upskilling team members in contracts and litigation
  • Performing other duties as necessary within the legal function

Profile

The Commercial Contracts Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years' PQE in commercial contract law
  • Experienced in drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts
  • Knowledgeable in contract and commercial law
  • Excellent in communication and negotiation skills
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Ideally experienced with FCA and PRA regulations
