Are you an engineering manager from a heavy industry manufacturing background looking to step into a role where your leadership skills and abilities will be rewarded with a generous renumeration package and progression opportunities?
On offer is the opportunity to join a division of a very successful company who are in need of their missing puzzle piece. This company have a hugely significant turnover, making them market leaders for providing materials into various high profile clients in the construction industry.
In this role you will be working alongside the Operations Manager and the Production Manager, responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of plant, through improved mechanical and electrical reliability as well as ensuring engineering compliance is in line with all company policies and procedures.
This role would suit an experienced engineering manager who's looking to take on a hands on and involved role leading an extremely hardworking team of engineers.
The Role:
- Ensure that all engineering contractors and suppliers that are engaged on engineering / maintenance tasks are compliant with SHEQ expectations
- Oversee the management of all people activities related to engineering and maintenance, applying company policy and best practice consistently, reasonably and fairly.
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage all site engineering and maintenance activities, safely and within agreed budget
- Control and manage maintenance activities using preventative measures whilst ensuring rapid response to breakdowns and efficient follow up to identify corrective actions.
