Role Overview – Content Creator (Social Media)
We're looking for a confident, creative, and entrepreneurial Content Creator / Social Media Influencer to join us in-house. You’ll play a key role in shaping our brand’s social presence across multiple platforms, acting as both the face and the strategist behind engaging organic content.
You’ll be the driving force behind our fly-on-the-wall content, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, but most importantly, for filming viral concepts, podcasts, and delivering valuable content on market trends to contribute to the Love Finance online presence.
This isn’t a standard social media role. We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes content — someone who’s comfortable in front of the camera, instinctively understands what performs, and has a passion for storytelling that connects with entrepreneurial minds.
Key Responsibilities of Content Creator (Social Media)
Content Creation & Filming
- Be the face and voice of Love Finance's organic content across platforms
- Capture fly-on-the-wall, behind-the-scenes content in and around the office
- Generate vlog-style content highlighting our culture, leadership team, and exciting developments
- Film and produce short-form content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) with a focus on storytelling, trends, and virality
- Create business and entrepreneurship-themed content, avoiding traditional finance messaging
Social Media & Organic Growth
- Plan, script, and execute daily/weekly content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn as well as other media platforms
- Handle all community management and management of social channels
- Analyse social performance, hook rates, view percentages, and identify what’s working and what’s not
- Use current trends and cultural moments to inform content ideation and execution
- Work with internal teams to align organic efforts with wider brand strategy
Podcasting & Thought Leadership
- Help launch and manage a new in-house podcast (concept to execution)
- Act as a co-host or host when needed; suggest guests, themes, and distribution plans
- Collaborate on viral podcast clips and snippets for TikTok and Instagram
Creative Development & Collaboration
- Be an ideas engine – constantly pitch viral angles, hooks, and trends worth chasing
- Attend thought sessions with the wider team to build out creative content calendars
- Coordinate content plans around office moves, business milestones, or topical events
What We’re Looking For:
- Confidence on camera – you’re not shy, you’re charismatic, and you know how to engage people
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms and how to optimise for virality (especially short-form)
- Previous experience creating content for business/entrepreneurship brands or personal brands
- Comfortable filming and directing basic footage, using a phone or DSLR (editing not essential but useful)
- Trend-spotting ability – you’re active on TikTok and Instagram and know what’s hot now
- Data-aware – not a full analyst, but you should know how to track engagement, reach, hook rate, and retention
- Passion for entrepreneurship, start-ups, and the creator economy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and self-direct your workflow
Nice to Have:
- Experience managing or launching a podcast
- Basic video editing or working knowledge of editors like CapCut or Adobe Premiere (we have editing support if not)
- Familiarity with the Simon Squibb / Steven Bartlett / Gary Vee content style
- Portfolio of work or social media channels you’ve helped grow (personal or professional)
