* to raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the curriculum area
* to engage and inspire pupils' imagination and creativity
* to monitor and support pupil progress providing appropriate intervention
* to be accountable for pupil progress within the subject area and department
* to ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department
* to be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area
* to deploy financial and practical resources within the department effectively to support the school and department development plans

You must have a patient and understanding nature to support the needs of the students and the successful candidate will be leading a committed department to achieve success; you must have student well-being at the core of your values.
