This new opportunity within Quality Control comes from a privately owned company within the manufacturing sector. Experts in production materials and methods they work alongside companies in highly regulated industries to support successful product development and manufacture within a competitive timeframe.

Through continuous investment in Quality Assurance and by building strong customer and supplier relationships this dynamic SME has gone from strength to strength and today collaborates with a global customer base.

Joining them as Quality Control inspector you will be responsible for the inspection and approval of incoming components and in-process assemblies within a fast-moving environment. This will include working with a variety of metrology equipment. Working from their Coleshill facility you will primarily work on the inspection of parts for their automotive clients.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Unpack and inspect incoming parts, document and label as appropriate to maintain traceability
  • Inspect components and assemblies to meet customer deadlines ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Document Inspection results and maintain detailed records of all quality checks
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained and complete inventory checks
  • Assist the QA team with the investigation of nonconformances and help to carry out corrective and preventative actions.

To carry out this role they are seeking an experienced quality inspector with a good foundation of engineering knowledge.

Skills/experience required includes:

  • Technical or engineering related qualifications i.e., apprentice trained, NVQ, BTEC etc
  • Able to read and interpret 2D Drawings to understand tolerances and features described
  • Experience using measuring tools such as Verniers, gauges, Micrometres, CMM, FARO etc
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment in lien with ISO9001
  • Understanding and experience of stock control
