Lead Design Technology Teacher Needed in a Birmingham Secondary School from January 2024

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Design Technology Teacher ready to take on a leadership role? Tradewind is currently seeking a Lead Design Technology Teacher for a busy and vibrant secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time position, initially offered on a temporary basis with the potential for a permanent position. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, paid to scale from day 1.

About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Lead Design Technology Teacher to join a highly sought-after secondary school in Birmingham. The initial appointment is for one term, with the possibility of extension. The school welcomes applications from Design Technology specialists proficient in teaching Food, Textiles, or Resistant Materials. The daily pay rate will be determined based on experience, up to UPS3 equivalent.

Requirements: To be eligible for this position, candidates must:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have proven experience teaching Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Possess an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one.
  • Provide a comprehensive 10-year career history.
  • Present a minimum of two references, including the most recent employment reference.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
