As a Health and Social Care Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering engaging virtual teaching sessions to our students. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire and shape the future generation of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead dynamic virtual teaching sessions covering a range of health and social care topics, including medication handling, dementia awareness, and social care practices.
  • Tailor teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of our students, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Provide valuable feedback and guidance to students, supporting their academic progression and success.
  • Nurture a collaborative and interactive learning atmosphere conducive to student achievement.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and best practices in healthcare education, continuously enhancing teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to elevate the quality of our educational offerings.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification such as PTTLS or DTTLS.
  • DBS disclosure is mandatory for this role.
  • Possess an engaging personality with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in utilising online learning platforms and educational technology.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 6 months of teaching experience.
  • Display creativity and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Exhibit a passion for continuous learning and a dedication to student welfare.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience teaching healthcare subjects to adult learners, particularly in an online capacity.
  • Hold an Assessor qualification A1 or equivalent.
  • Ability to align schemes of work and lesson plans with vocational skills curriculum.
  • Experience in designing and implementing tracking systems.
