Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals on the housing register by providing advice and guidance on housing options.
- Conduct assessments to determine housing needs and eligibility for housing services.
- Develop personalised housing plans to help applicants secure suitable accommodation.
- Provide information on available housing options, including social housing, private rentals, and supported housing.
- Liaise with landlords, housing providers, and other relevant organisations to identify housing opportunities.
- Offer practical support and advice on welfare rights, benefits, and financial management.
- Assist individuals in temporary accommodation with transitioning to permanent housing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and housing plans.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for applicants.
- Respect confidentiality and adhere to data protection legislation.
- Stay informed about relevant housing legislation and policies.
Requirements:
- Experience in housing options or a related field.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and local housing policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
