Primary Sendco - Now Education
The role will involve leading a team of adults, meeting parents, families and professionals and working with children and young people aged 3 -11. Our SENCO will form part of our senior leadership team. They will take the lead on developing and implementing the schools strategic plan for inclusion, including for pupils with special educational needs. The role is non-class based but will require some teaching commitment if accepted based on working full time.
We would welcome candidates who are interested in part time and full time work, We are looking for candidates who have a keen interest and experience in working with children with special educational needs. Ideally candidates would already hold a SENCO qualification. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and understand how scarce resources can be deployed effectively to best support our most vulnerable children. They will have high levels of emotional intelligence, be solution focused and committed to working with our leadership team, governors, specialist services, school leaders, teachers, support staff and parents to enable them to deliver the best possible outcomes for our most vulnerable pupils.
