Job Title - Technical Sales Engineer

Location - Midlands

Salary - £50k per annum

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Technical Pre-Sales Engineer who will use their strong technical knowledge, along with sales skills, to provide advice and support on a range of access control and security products to clients within the Education, Utility, Local Authority and Healthcare sectors. They will be the technical lead in customer presentations (remotely and in person).

The successful candidate will determine the technical requirements for a combination of existing and new cliental, assisting with bids and tenders, and acting as primary liaison between the technical and sales teams.

They will also be a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and after-sales advice, liaising regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • The transition for new integrators on their first projects to make sure first job goes smoothly
  • Assistance on Large upgrade projects for existing customers and integrators, around commissioning, data input and integration
  • Help with technical submissions and tender requests
  • Training end users and integrators on our JC4 access systems
  • Help development document and test new integrations
  • Must be able to take onboard complex, technical information and present this to our partners 'ad hock’
  • Deliver product sales presentation
  • Deliver product demo presentation

Key Requirements

  • 2 years+ experience in technical sales
  • Good knowledge of at least 1 access product is essential
  • Good presentation, problem solving and customer service skill
  • Team player
  • Confident and outgoing
  • Proven technology skills, outstanding interpersonal abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, plus analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Positive, service-oriented personality
  • Good IP networking skills
  • Understanding of Voltage / Current / Resistance
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems (Server & Client)
  • Understanding of MS-SQL
  • Willing to travel nationally, including overnight stays
