The Company

The Client, a comprehensive, competitive and client focused Planning Consultancy, is looking for an enthusiastic Transport Planner to join the Birmingham. They are an independent consultancy who have been established since 2012 and have a strong reputation in the market, specialising in all types of developments including Rail, Housing, Office and Leisure, as well as large mixed-use developments.

The Position of a Transport Planner

The successful candidate will support the senior members of staff and be meaningfully engaged in all streams of work, and work on a variety of projects. Typical duties will include developing solutions to transportation problems such as congestion, assessing the environmental impact of new infrastructure plans, designing transport routes and much more.

Essential Requirements for a Transport Planner

  • A degree in either Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Town Planning, Geography, or maths.
  • Knowledge of transport methods, costs, and benefits
  • Teamwork and communications skills
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology
