We are ideally located inside Pets at Home on Battery Retail Park just off the Birmingham City university campus, with great amenities right on our doorstep, plentiful free parking, excellent public transport links and within walking distance to the local train station.


Our supportive team is spread across both Selly Oak and our sister practice Quinton. We are made up of 10 Veterinary Nurses, 7 Veterinary Surgeons and 5 Receptionists, 3 of which are permanently based at Selly Oak.


For this role you’ll need to be a qualified nurse with experience in monitoring small animal anaesthetics, dealing with emergencies and carrying out nurse consults. Good communication and organization skills, attention to detail and working well within a team are key to this role. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for variety within their role and exposure to lots of different development opportunities. Our nurses are encouraged to complete and fulfil aspirations and use and utilise their nursing skills in surgery or consultations. 


Our supportive team is spread across both Selly Oak and our sister practice Quinton. In total, we are made up of 10 Veterinary Nurses, 7 Veterinary Surgeons and 5 Receptionists, 3 of which are permanently based at Selly Oak. Here at Selly Oak we actively encourage certificates for all of our clinical team. We currently have 2 small animal orthopaedic certificate holders and one of our vets is currently working towards their feline certificate. 


This is a full time role working 40 hour per week including 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am -2pm and no OOH.
