JOB PURPOSE:

The Chief Inspector is responsible for providing leadership to the Quality Control Inspection department. The primary objective is to ensure that all work performed meets the required standards and customer specifications. Training will be provided for Q-Pulse and ERP systems as necessary.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Inspection of First Off components for manufactured sheet metal and assembled parts.

2. Stage and Final Inspection of manufactured sheet metal and assembled parts.

3. Ensuring all work follows customer and industry specifications.

4. Conducting First Article Inspection according to AS9102 requirements.

5. Managing the Material Review Board (MRB) system (Q-Pulse)

6. Supervising inspection staff

7. Handling customer quality concerns in collaboration with quality engineers

8. Training and developing the inspection department team members.

9. Maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to inspection

10. Attending daily meetings with the inspection team to understand priorities and address any issues.

11. Implementing continuous improvement initiatives

12. Managing specific quality projects within capabilities.

13. Performing any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Previous fine limit technical experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 is desirable.

- Previous experience in a similar role.

- Previous experience using hand measurement tools.

- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.

- Proficiency in using PCs and related software programs.

- Strong communication skills.
