The client we are working with is a luxury 4-star hotel chain that is renowned for its restaurant and bar. They are currently searching for an assistant bar manager to join their experienced team. There are genuine progression opportunities as the client is keen to further your knowledge and develop your skills. This will help you progress from within and progress through their ranks in one of their many sites.

As an Assistant Bar Manager you'll ensure that every drink and cocktail that leaves the bar is perfect. This means ensuring all preparations are completed before and during services. Ensuring the bar is fully stocked, glasses are clean, and learning the fine selection of drinks that the hotel has to offer, even when busy. It also means working weekends or evenings based on a rota system.

  • Competitive salary up to £28,000 per year plus tipsand benefits

We are currently working with a Luxury Hotel Chain in Bishop Stortford with a brand new vacancy so if you are:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • Experienced in cocktail making, looking for the next step, or looking to work in a hotel.
  • High standards of hygiene

Duties:

  • In charge of maximizing the success of the Bars operation and continue to deliver heartfelt and exceptional experiences for our guests.
  • Manage productivity and efficiency levels, team rotas, stock and wastage levels, as well as control costs, maximize sales and build customer and supplier loyalty.
  • Ensuring that all team members have a personal development plan and encourage progression.
  • Effectively and responsibly control the flow of customers and the interaction between the Front of House and back of house throughout service.
  • To work in cooperation with the Bars Manager, Operations Manager & Head Chef on new products, menu's and promotions.
  • Handle Customer enquiries in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Multi-functional duties covering occasional Duty Management duties

Bonus Traits or experience:

  • Mixologist experience
  • Previous experience in a hotel
  • Hardworking and looking to develop.
