Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with an industry recognised organisation that perform a crucial role within the education sector. This client is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Business Partner to a high functioning team based out of their South Durham office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate that thrives in a business partnering role and has a mind for the intricacies and challenges that come with finance within the education space.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £42,000 - £48,000 (DOE), a generous pension contribution along with wellbeing and development initiatives. They are currently operating on a hybrid working policy with 2 days working from home along with a flexibility around the working day.

The Role:

  • Support with timely budget preparation, forecasting and monitoring
  • Support the production of accurate, timely monthly management information
  • Lead, manage and influence your team to deliver KPI’s and business results
  • Be switched on to the financial developments across the Educational Sector
  • Ensure accurate financial records are maintained
  • Aid in the development of multi-year financial planning and monitoring, cash-flow management and the recording of fixed assets

The Person:

  • You will be a qualified Accountant (CCAB/CIMA)
  • Experience working within the education sector is essential
  • Proven experience is preparing and presenting financial information
  • Experience of producing budgets and year-end accounting
